- Start by feeding the lower layer of your composter, and when it reaches capacity, add a new layer on top for your indoor composting needs.
- The industrious worms instinctively migrate upwards to access the fresh food, thereby leaving behind nutrient-rich compost in the lower section.
- When the uppermost layer becomes full, it's time to extract the compost from the bottom layer and move the now-empty one to the top of your composter.
- Rotate the layers every 3-4 months to ensure a continuous supply of fresh worm castings.

Once your indoor composter is fully established, which typically takes around 6 months, you can compost a substantial 2 kg per week. Should you decide to incorporate a fourth layer, you can allocate 2 kg of kitchen scraps to both layers 3 and 4, effectively increasing your weekly capacity to 4 kg for your compost bin.
